1. While feeding the babies, mothers should sit in a relaxed mood and feed by supporting the baby well over the laps and in reclaimed position.
2. There are many reasons for the low birth weight of the babies. They are malnutrition of the mothers, heart or kidney diseases of the mother, maternal tuberculosis, uterus infection during pregnancy, multiple foetuses in the same pregnancy, hereditary problems and chromosomal anomalies.
3. Some children are obese. The reasons for their obesity are hereditary.  That is if the family members are obese their children may also be obese.
4. Other causes of obesity are lack of exercise, excessive intake of food and keeping idle without doing any exercises, diseases of the endocrine of ductless glands.
5. If children are obese, they should be advised to do vigorous exercises without break.
6. They are also advised to take diet which is not having much of fat.
7. Drugs to reduce the weight should not be given to children.
8. If newborn babies have the following symptoms and signs immediate medical attention should be sought. Fever, body is chill with low temperature, anterior fontanel is full (Anterior fontanel is a dimple in the anterior portion of the scalp wherein the scalp bones meet) not feeding properly, persistent vomiting, loose motion, poor cry, incessant cry, convulsion of the hands and legs, pallor of the body, bloody spots over the skin, abdominal distension, pus discharge either from eyes or ears are some of the signs and symptoms which should not be neglected.
9. Usually growing children may not have indigestion. If children are fed with food which they don’t like or relish or overfeeding may lead to passage of motion once or twice extra.  So, there is no need for medicine for indigestion.
10. Breast fed babies following feeds sleep for 2-4 hours shows that baby is getting adequate milk.
