1.Some children go in for severe reaction like rash, itching, coughing wheezing and difficulty in breathing.
2.If the sting is by a honey bee, look for the stinger and remove it.
3.Wash the site of the sting or bite with soap and lukewarm water. If calamine lotion is available it can be applied over the site of bite to reduce the discomfort.
4.Cover the site with a clean, cold compress or a clean moist dressing to reduce the swelling and discomfort.
5.If children have blisters on the skin it should not be popped.
6.Usually they may heal by themselves in a couple of days. Popping may lead to infection.
7.Some infants and adolescent boys may have enlarged breasts temporarily.
8.This is due to the passage of hormones from mother to the baby in infants.
9.Approximately 50-75 percent of boys develop some breast enlargement near puberty.
10.Breast enlargement resolves without any treatment in 1-2 years in adolescence and in 1 month newborn.
