1. Preterm babies will attain normal height and weight on par with full term babies by the end of 2 – 2 ½ years.
2. There are possibilities to have behaviour problems with premature babies.
3. Infants of 7 to 11 months may be anxious to see strangers and will be withdrawn.
4. Around 1 ½ years children like to play with their peers.
5. Adolescent boys may have development of moustache and axillary hair growth around 14 -18 years.
6. Growth of the external genitalia in boys will start around 10 to 12 years and it will grow rapidly by 12 -15 years.
7. Adolescent girls will start to have increase in the size of their breast by 9 -11 years. That will grow to its full blown size between 12 – 18 years.
8. Hair growth in the axilla and around the external genitalia will be between 10 and 14 years.
9. Adolescent boys’ voice changes will happen between 14 and 18 years.
10. If these changes occur in the stipulated time, we can take it granted that the child is transforming as adult.
