Kindergarten Day

Kindergarten Day is observed annually on April 21st to honor Friedrich Wilhelm August Frobel (April 21, 1782 – June 21, 1852) the creator of the concept “KINDERGARTEN”.
The term “kindergarten” was coined by Friedrich Fröbel, a German teacher. Kindergarten which means “garden for the children” is a preschool educational approach traditionally based on playing, singing, practical activities such as drawing, and social interaction as part of the transition from home to school.
Today the term “kindergarten” is used in many countries to describe a variety of educational institutions which is developed for children ranging from two to seven years of age, based on a variety of teaching methods.
