1. Baby powder and prickly heat powder has to be sprinkled gently over the body twice a day to get rid of the prickly heat.
2. Hypothermia is a condition wherein the body temperature will be well below the normal range.
3. This happens in new born babies and particularly in premature and low birth weight newborns whom can’t have proper temperature regulation.
4. If a baby is hypothermic its extremities and whole body will be chill and the breathing will also be slow. Body will be weak and drowsy.
5. Such hypothermic babies should be immediately nicely wrapped with warm clothes leaving the face alone.
6. Their environment should be warmed either by using hot water bottles or radiant warmers or incubator.
7. So, babies born with low birth weight ie less than 2.5 kgs and premature babies should be kept nicely wrapped in a room along with the mother. Minimal handling of those babies is advisable.
8. Those babies should not be given baths till they achieve the weight of 2.5kgs.
9. Those babies can be covered with woollen clothes and kept warm.
10. Adolescent girls will face premenstrual tension wherein they may have abdominal cramps, backache, headache, anxiety and mental tension.
