I wonder why the sun rises in the east and sets in the west…
He earth is always spinning around. It takes the earth one day to turn all the way around. Then it starts over again. In the morning, the earth is at a certain point of its turn. If you look to the east while the earth is at this part of its turn, the sun looks like it is rising in the sky. At night, the earth is the part of its turn that makes it look like the dun id going down in the west.
I wonder why we can only see the stars at night…
The sun is loser to the earth then the other stars and its light is so bright that we cannot see the light from the other stars in the daytime. The stars are still out there, of course. But the sun’s light is many thousands of times brighter than starlight. The sun’s light is spread out through the atmosphere, colouring it blue. In all this brightness, the light from the stars is lost.
