  1. If these underlying causes are not there children should be given certain advices to overcome this habit.
  2. Children with the habit should be forbidden to take liquids 3 hours before sleep.
  3. Children should be made to pass urine before they go to bed.
  4. Parents before they retire should make the children to pass urine and make them sleep.
  5. If the child is continuously dry at night should be given small gifts and encouraged, Or else complimentary words for their act should be told.
  6. Exercises to expand the bladder should be taught to the children. During day time, they should be advised to withhold passing of urine as long as they can. This sort of withholding practice should be encouraged.
  7. As soon as they feel that bladder is full they should be avoided to pass urine.
  8. If all measures fail medications are there to control bedwetting.
  9. Nail biting is another common habit disorder of the children. Due to nail biting, the dirt in the nail bed enters the gastrointestinal tract and may upset the stomach. That is how, the worms can develop in the intestine of the children.
  10. Children while playing in the soil, mud or sand may acquire the eggs of the worms in their nailbeds. If they bite their nails the eggs of the worms will enter the intestinal system and the eggs will develop into big worms.
