  1. Vitamin B1, B2, B3 and B6 are essential for the generation of energy from food. These vitamins are essential for the healthy functioning of skin and nervous system. Then vitamins are rich in Cereals, Green Leafy vegetables.
  2. Iron and folic acid are essential for the production of the blood. Moreover, they help in prevention of Anemia. This iron and folic acid are rich in Cereals, Green leafy vegetables and Mutton.
  3. Vitamin C is good for the skin and also helps in rapid healing of the wounds and ulcers. Deficiency of vitamin ‘C’ will lead to a disease called ‘Scurvy’.
  4. Vitamin ‘C’ is rich in Amla, Grapes, and Guava.
  5. Vitamin ‘D’ is essential for the absorption of Calcium. Deficiency of Vitamin D will lead to a disease called Rickets.
  6. Vitamin ‘D’ is rich in milk, yellow of the egg and with the help of sun rays our body itself will produce vitamin D.
  7. Calcium and Phosphorus are essential for the strong teeth and bones. Milk and Milk products, Tomato are rich in Calcium and Phosphorus.
  8. Iodine is a mineral which is useful for the mental growth. Milk, sea foods like Fish, Egg and Mutton are good sources of Iodine.
  9. Zinc is another mineral which is useful for the physical and mental growths and it provides immunity. Cereals, Nuts, Milk, Egg, Mutton and Fish are sources of zinc.
  10. Fever in children is not a disease. It indicated an infection or immune deficient state. It is even protective weapon.
