Children who are learning swimming may commonly get ear pain, discharge from the ears and itching.
Children after taking baths in showers or after swimming should try to expel the water in ears by nodding the head and the ears to be dried.
For drying the ear, tip of the handkerchief, tissue paper should be used. Or else hair drier should be held few inches away from the ear and should be dried.
If necessary ear drops advised by the doctors should also be used.
Children with tooth decay and pains should be given analgesic medicine and ice fomentation should be given over the jaw. Then dentist should be consulted for proper treatment.
Children are noticed to have eye defects during school age. It may be short sight or long sight.
In short sight they may be able to see nearer objects clearly. Distant objects will be seen faintly.
In long sight objects in long distances will be visible clearly. Close objects will be seen faintly.
Children with eye defect will see things by keeping their head tilted, see television by sitting very closely, will frequently rub the eyes, will see objects by bringing them close to the eye.
Children with either short or long sight may need spectacles. Nowadays latest operations are there to correct these defects. After this operation, there will not be a need for spectacles.
