Children may be allergic to animal excreta, bird feathers, fungus formed over rotten vegetables, face powders. Cockroaches, houseflies, butterflies and to insecticides.
Rarely, some children will have milk allergy. Those children will have frequent loose motion, projectile vomiting and longstanding abdominal pain.
Some of the food allergens are Chocolates, peppermint, ice cream, beans, peas, groundnut, cornflakes, black grapes, oranges.
Tomato, strawberry, wheat, barley, potato, fish and colouring agents for food items will also cause allergy.
Food allergy may lead to swelling of face, one sided headache, running nose and skin rashes. Asthmatic attack can also happen.
It is very difficult to find out the food allergens.
To find out the aforesaid food items should be withheld one by one and observed for allergy and then only you can decide.
Children who are suffering measles should be isolated for 5 days after the skin rashes develop.
Children who are suffering from chickenpox should be kept in isolation for six days after the skin eruption starts.
Children with mumps should be isolated for two weeks.
