3.Assessment of the hearing of the newborn can be done as follows.
4.A few weeks old baby appears to listen whenever you talk or sing. If you make a noise the baby blinks or open its eyes.
5.At the age of 6 months, the babies will enjoy if you talk to them and turn the eyes and or head towards the noise.
6.At about 9 months baby will enjoy babbling and in making other noises and also react to very soft sounds.
7.Around 1 year baby starts saying a few words and responds when called by name.
8.Around 1 ½ years it starts to use simple words and will pick up and point objects around the house if you ask for it.
9.Around 2 years baby can hear if you whisper in low voice.
10.If children are bitten by insects, pain redness and 1-2 inches swelling around the bite may be there.
