“GIVING, RELATING, EXERCISING, AWARENESS, TRYING OUT, DIRECTION, RESILIENCE, EMOTIONS, ACCEPTANCE, MEANING.”
The International Day of Happiness also known as Happiness Day is celebrated on March 20 every year around the world. The day was founded by Jayme Illien, United Nations Advisor and Founder, President and CEO of Illien Global Public Benefit Corporation.
The day was founded on June 28, 2012 when all 193 member states of the United Nations General Assembly harmoniously adopted UN resolution 66/281.
International Day of Happiness is celebrated globally and it is coordinated by Action for Happiness, a non-profit movement of people from 160 countries. The first celebration of International Day of Happiness was in the year 2013 with Ndaba Mandela and Chelsea Clinton.
