WORLD HEART DAY

World Heart Day was founded in 2000 and it is celebrated annually all over the world on 29 September. The day is observed to inform people around the globe that heart disease and stroke are the world’s leading causes of death, claiming 17.3 million lives each year.
World Heart Day was founded by World Heart Federation (WHF) formerly the International Society and Federation of Cardiology (ISFC). The World Heart Federation is now recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) as its leading NGO partner in cardiovascular disease prevention and is a close partner of the World Health Organization’s department of Non communicable Diseases.
